Step into the Garden

How did the weekend go so fast?  It seems there's never enough time when one is having fun.  There's still so many items on my list to do!

I'm glad for finishing this card though.  It's my attempt playing along with the JustRite Challenge #113 this week.  I don't usually think about creating background papers, and I don't have any fab methods to share, just some mad colouring perhaps (it felt that way to me, it's hard colouring the same images all at once!).  But it's what I usually do after work, colouring is therapeutic.  But, as you can tell, it's really a challenge for me to keep to some uniformity with the flowers.

I used the stamp set Poppies Labels Twenty Nine, and selected the smaller poppies image to create the background.  The poppies were coloured with Copic markers (R39, R37, R35, R24, R32, YG97, YG93, YG01).  The edges of the cardstock was distressed with Distress Ink Scattered Straw.  I completely forgot I had Labels 29 (grin!), and used various oval dies for the sentiment.  The bottom layer was a vellum die-cut.

Hope your weekend is going great!

Thank you for visiting me.
